Description
Alien Attack drops you into the oldest story in arcade gaming: an endless swarm descending on your planet, and you as the last line of defense. Waves of invaders pour in from above without pause, and your job is brutally simple — shoot them down and stay alive for as long as you possibly can. There is no final boss and no credits, just your score and the next wave.
Controls keep things classic. Move your defender left and right along the bottom of the screen with the directional arrow keys, and press the left mouse button to fire. That is the entire toolkit, which means survival comes down to positioning and reflexes rather than complicated mechanics. Every alien you destroy buys you a little more breathing room; every one that gets through brings the invasion closer.
The difficulty comes from sheer pressure. The invasion is massive and genuinely endless, so the screen fills up faster and faster the longer you last. Early waves feel almost relaxed, giving you time to settle into a rhythm of sweeping left and right while firing. Before long, though, you are threading between gaps in the swarm, choosing which threat to handle first, and one moment of hesitation ends the run.
Smart play beats fast clicking. Instead of chasing individual aliens across the screen, hold a position and let targets come into your line of fire, then shift only when the swarm forces you to. Clear the edges regularly so enemies cannot box you into a corner, and never stop moving entirely — a stationary defender is an easy target once things get crowded.
