Description
Animal Cells is a clean, satisfying little puzzle game about clearing a board full of colorful creatures. Every animal on the grid is one of several colors, and your goal is to explode them all by touching them or removing them from the board, but there is a strict rule: an animal can only pop if another animal of the same color is sitting right next to it.
Playing is as simple as tapping or clicking. You look for clusters, pick a target, and watch a small chain of matching animals burst. The puzzle lives in the consequences: every removal shifts what remains, and animals that were isolated a moment ago may slide together into a new match, or drift apart into permanent loneliness. A single careless tap can leave one odd-colored straggler with no neighbor, and that usually means a failed board.
Early levels give you generous groupings and plenty of room to experiment, so you can learn how pieces fall and which colors tend to pair up. As you progress the boards get denser and the color mix gets meaner, with singletons seeded in spots that force you to plan several moves ahead. The game stops being about spotting matches and starts being about engineering them.
The most reliable strategy is to work from the colors with the fewest members first, because leaving a rare color until last is the classic way to get stuck. Before tapping anything, trace in your head where the remaining pieces will land; thinking one collapse ahead wins far more boards than fast clicking ever will.
