Drunken Duel
Description
Drunken Duel is a western shootout where both gunslingers have clearly had too much to drink. Two wobbly rag dolls face off in a dusty duel, swaying and flopping under physics that refuse to cooperate, and the first one to land a hit wins. The comedy is built into the controls: you have exactly one button, and mastering what that button does with a drunk cowboy attached to it is the whole game.
The one-button control scheme works in both solo and two-player modes. Press to raise your arm and fire, and the physics engine decides how heroic or hopeless the shot looks. You can fire randomly and occasionally stumble into a lucky hit, and the game itself admits you might win that way, but you can just as easily lose to someone who actually learned what they were doing. In two-player mode, each side gets its own key or tap zone, turning it into a brilliant party game.
Skill sneaks up on you here. After a few matches you start to feel the rhythm of the sway, and shots that seemed impossible become deliberate. Timing your press as your arm swings through the right angle is what separates professional drunks from truly hopeless ones, and the rag doll physics mean no two duels ever look the same. The sounds and visual effects pile on the slapstick charm, selling every wild miss.
The best tip is patience: wait for your opponent's stumble to expose them rather than blazing away the moment you can. Watch the arc of your arm across several presses to learn its timing, and in two-player matches, sometimes the threat of a shot pressures your opponent into wasting theirs.
Fans of physics-based party games and quick one-button duels will love this, especially with a friend sharing the screen. It plays free in the browser on desktop and mobile whenever the saloon calls.
