Face Breaker
Description
Face Breaker takes the classic brick-breaking formula and gives it a goofy grin. You control a paddle, your ball has a square face on it, and together the two of you play a strange little tennis match against a wall of blocks that need smashing. Clear every block on the screen to beat the level and move on to the next.
The rules will feel familiar to anyone who has touched a breakout-style game. Slide the paddle left and right with your mouse, arrow keys, or a finger on touch screens to keep the ball in play. The ball ricochets off your paddle, the walls, and the blocks, and any block it touches is destroyed. Let the ball slip past your paddle and hit the bottom, and the round is over.
What keeps things spicy is the speed. The ball gains pace after every bounce, so a rally that starts comfortably slow can turn frantic within seconds. Across 45 levels the layouts grow trickier too, with block arrangements that demand sharper angles and quicker reactions as you work deeper into the game.
A few practical habits make a big difference here. Hitting the ball with the edge of your paddle sends it off at a steeper angle, which is the best way to reach blocks tucked into corners. When the ball gets fast, stop chasing it and instead position the paddle where the ball is heading, reading the bounce off the walls. Staying calm during the late-level speed spikes matters more than raw reflexes.
This is an easy recommendation for fans of Arkanoid-style breakers and quick arcade puzzles. There is nothing to download; it plays free in your browser on desktop and mobile, and a full run through all 45 levels will keep a determined paddle-swinger busy for a good while.
