Description

Jelly Phil 2 is the kind of small, cute platformer that hides a real test of timing behind its sugary look. You guide a little jelly hero through eight hand-built levels, and the rules could not be cleaner: grab every pink jelly in the stage, dodge the hostile jelly creatures and the spinning saws, then step through the exit door to move on.

Controls are instantly familiar to anyone who has touched a 2D platformer. Move with either WASD or the arrow keys, and press W or the Up arrow for a jump, with a double jump available when you tap it again in midair. That double jump is the whole heart of the game, because most pink jellies sit just out of comfortable reach, hanging over gaps, saw blades, or patrolling enemies. Each level ends the moment you touch the exit door, but the door only matters once you have cleaned out the collectibles.

With eight levels the campaign is compact, yet the difficulty curve is honest about it. Early stages teach you the spacing of jumps and the rhythm of moving saws, while later ones stack hazards together: saws placed at landing points, jelly enemies pacing exactly where you want to fall, and jelly clusters that demand a midair correction you have not practiced yet. As the second entry in the Jelly Phil series, it keeps the original's charm while tightening the level design.

Two habits carry you through the back half. First, watch a saw for one full rotation before committing to a jump, because their timing often syncs with a second hazard nearby. Second, resist the urge to hold forward in the air; short, controlled double jumps land you on platforms, while greedy full-speed arcs land you on spikes. Collect jellies in an order that keeps an escape route open rather than cornering yourself.

Jelly Phil 2 suits players who want a quick, polished platforming fix without a huge time commitment. Eight levels, one double jump, and a pile of pink jellies add up to a neat little challenge that is easy to start and satisfying to finish.
