Jelly Phil
Description
Jelly Phil is a cute 2D platformer about a little jelly man with a sweet tooth. His world is dotted with pink jellies waiting to be collected, and each level ends at an exit door that only matters once you have bounced your way past everything standing between Phil and it. The art is soft and cheerful, but do not let the cuteness fool you: the saws spinning in the corridors and the jelly enemies patrolling the platforms are perfectly capable of ending your run.
The controls are classic platformer fare. You move Phil with the WASD keys or the arrow keys, jumping across gaps and climbing toward higher ledges. Pressing W or the up arrow a second time in midair triggers a double jump, and that extra bit of lift is the heart of the game's movement. Mastering when to spend the second jump, and when to save it for a last-second correction, is what separates smooth runs from splattered ones.
Your job in each stage is to gather the pink jellies scattered around the level while dodging the jelly enemies and saw blades, then reach the exit door to unlock the next stage. There are eight levels in total, and the difficulty climbs as you progress. Early levels are generous, letting you learn the double jump in safety, while the later ones place saws in meaner spots, tighten the platforming, and make the route to the door demand real precision.
A few tips go a long way. Resist the urge to use your double jump immediately; the first jump often covers most of a gap, and holding the second one in reserve gives you a recovery option if a saw or enemy forces you off line. Watch enemy movement patterns for a moment before crossing their territory, since most of them follow predictable loops. If a jelly looks like it is in a dangerous spot, decide whether it is worth the detour before you commit rather than halfway through the leap.
This is a great pick for players who like compact, charming platformers with a gentle difficulty curve and a clear finish line. You can play it free in your browser, and eight levels makes it a satisfying one-sitting challenge.
