Description
Jump with Justin is a vertical jumping game with a wonderfully absurd premise: Justin is a beaver who also happens to be a mad inventor, and he has built himself a contraption to launch skyward. Your job is to keep that climb going as high as possible, bouncing from platform to platform while the ground disappears far below. Every run is a record attempt, and the question is always the same: how high can you get before gravity wins?
The controls are simple to grasp. Steer Justin left and right as he leaps, using the arrow keys on a keyboard or tilting and tapping on a touchscreen, and he does the jumping automatically whenever he lands on a platform. Miss a platform or hit something nasty and down he goes. What makes the climb interesting is his workshop of wacky inventions scattered along the way. Grab coins for score, and collect gadgets like magnetism to pull coins toward you, rockets for explosive bursts of altitude, and helium to float higher with less effort.
The twist is that not everything Justin invented works in his favor. His evil inventions are scattered up there too, and grabbing one, or smacking into an obstacle, sends him crashing back down with a bump. That push and pull between helpful power-ups and harmful traps gives every jump a small dose of risk, especially at greater heights where platforms thin out.
A few tips will stretch your runs. Prioritize survival over coins, since a missed platform ends everything. Rockets are worth steering toward because they skip entire sections safely, and when you see an evil invention sitting on a platform, route around it early rather than making a last-second correction.
