Red and Green Rainbow
Description
Red and Green Rainbow is a two-character platform adventure in which a red hero and a green hero have to work together to escape trap-filled levels full of slime, bats, lasers, and locked doors. This entry in the long-running red and green series adds more enemies and more mechanics than before, and it is at its best when two friends share a keyboard, though a solo player can switch between both characters and manage the puzzle alone.
Controls are split so each player has their own set: one character moves with the WASD keys while the other uses the arrow keys, and both can double jump, which is essential for reaching high ledges and clearing wide gaps. On mobile, touch controls handle the same moves. Each level asks the pair to grab the key, survive the hazards, and reach the exit together, and the twist is that the two heroes have different jobs. Only the green character can remove the laser barriers, and finding the key makes the invisible door visible, so progress always depends on using both heroes' strengths.
The difficulty builds steadily across the stages. Early levels teach the basics of coordinated movement and key hunting, while later ones layer on moving enemies, tighter jumps off ramps, and sections where one hero must hold a position so the other can pass. Slimes and bats patrol the platforms and a single touch costs you, so timing and communication matter as much as reflexes.
A few habits make the journey smoother. Scout each new level before committing, so you know where the key and the hidden door sit. Send green ahead to clear lasers before moving red into danger, use the double jump to hover past bats rather than racing under them, and remember that jump ramps often hide the fastest route upward.
Red and Green Rainbow is ideal for siblings, friends, and couples who want a cooperative challenge, and it costs nothing to play in your browser, on a shared keyboard or on touchscreens.
