Sweet Monsters
Description
Most endless runners ask how far you can go. Sweet Monsters asks a better question: how much candy can you eat along the way? Distance is just the backdrop here; the real score is measured in sugar, and that twist changes how you play from the very first jump.
The mechanics are classic 2D parkour. Your monster runs forward automatically, and your job is to jump and dodge past the obstacles littering the path while gobbling up every piece of candy in reach. Movement is simple and responsive, so survival is about reading the terrain ahead rather than fighting the controls. Crashing into a barrier ends the run, but the candy you collected is what defines how well you actually did.
The combo system is where the depth hides. Eating candy in quick succession builds a combo chain, and longer chains multiply your rewards, which means a shorter run with tight, efficient eating can outscore a longer sloppy one. Meanwhile the difficulty scales upward as you progress: barriers become more varied and arrive in more complex arrangements, forcing you to plan your route through each cluster instead of reacting at the last second. High-level play is really route planning disguised as reflexes.
The core strategy is to value your combo above everything. Sometimes that means skipping a lone piece of candy that would break your rhythm, and sometimes it means taking a slightly riskier line to keep a chain alive. Learn which obstacle patterns repeat, because the game reuses its building blocks, and recognizing a sequence early is worth more than fast reactions.
Endless runner fans who find pure distance scoring a bit hollow will appreciate the extra layer here. It is bright, quick to restart, and built around a scoring system that rewards smart play over stubborn endurance.
