The dead among us
Description
The reactor has exploded, the entire crew is dead, and the only survivor is the one who caused it all: you. The dead among us takes the famous impostor fantasy in a darkly comic direction, casting you as the traitor left alone on a wrecked ship with nothing to do but eat, and you are very, very hungry.
The gameplay is a simple one-touch arcade challenge with a grotesque twist. Your impostor climbs through the twisted wreckage of the ship using a long, creepy tongue to grab and devour the bodies of former crewmates. Each body you eat adds to your score, and the goal is to consume as many as possible. The danger comes from the wreckage itself: sharp debris and jagged metal are everywhere, and one careless stretch of the tongue can hurt you badly or end the run entirely.
Because scoring is endless, the game is built around beating your own best and climbing toward the top of the world leaderboard. The further you push into the wreckage, the tighter the spaces become and the more precise your tongue shots need to be. The developers note that the game keeps receiving updates, so the challenge is designed to stay fresh rather than stand still.
Success comes down to patience and angles. Do not grab at the nearest body just because it is close; a body sitting next to sharp wreckage is a trap wearing a snack's costume. Plan your route so your tongue never crosses debris, take the easy points first, and only reach for risky targets once the safe ones are gone. Rhythm matters too, since panic-grabbing is how most runs end.
The dead among us is for players who enjoy quick, morbid arcade games with a score-chasing heart and a sense of humor about the whole impostor thing. It is silly, creepy, and strangely compulsive, and beating your previous best always feels like being a slightly better traitor than you were yesterday.
