Tower Defense throws you into a kingdom under siege, where waves of horrible monsters march along the path toward your gates and only your towers stand between them and disaster. It follows the classic lane-defense formula: monsters advance in waves, your defenses fire automatically, and every kill earns you the resources to build more. The hook is the relentless escalation, because each wave is nastier than the last and a sloppy setup will be overrun before you know it.
Playing is a matter of planning and placement. You select tower types and build them along the monsters' route with clicks or taps, positioning them so their shots cover as much of the path as possible. Surviving all the waves and protecting the kingdom is the goal, and getting there requires adapting your build as the enemy composition changes rather than sticking to one favorite tower.
Smart placement beats raw numbers. Build at corners and chokepoints where monsters stay in range the longest, and spread your towers along the full path instead of stacking them at the entrance, so stragglers that slip through still meet resistance at the end. Keep an element in reserve for the densest waves, and resist the urge to spend everything immediately, since a well-timed upgrade mid-wave often saves a run.
